As reported on a few other sites, it is reported that Nate True has gone “rogue” and posted the iPhone 1.1.3 Jailbreak without the Dev teams permission.

Link that talks about the controversy
To start, you must have an iPhone at 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 and jailbroken. If you upgraded to 1.1.3 right away, this won’t work (yet).
See modmyifone.com for a whole lot of chatter about this topic.
Apple released 1.1.3 firmware for the iPhone today. Since I have a “hacked” iPhone, I was a little leary about updating before the pros were able to crack it and hack it.
None the less, I did it anyways.
I had to update to the latest iTunes 4.6 before the update became available.
iTunes did not prompt me to restore my iPhone before it would perform the upgrade.
1.1.3 upgrade went 100% smooth, no errors or issues
Upon completion and rebooting of the iPhone, the custom carrier name I have was intact and all my third party apps were gone.
I’ve only poked around for a short time so far, but it looks like it should.
Here are a couple screenshots and a picture of what I saw after the 1.1.3 upgrade.
note: My iPhone was only “hacked” for third party apps, no SIM modifications have ever been made…
UPDATE: To respond to a few comments…
1. My iPhone was running 1.1.2 upgraded from the original 1.0.2. I was one of the ones who stood in line to get the iPhone on day 1.
2. The only modification that was held over from the 1.1.2 firmware is the custom carrier edit.
3. I do not have any other third party apps on the device right now.
