Sam and Lizzy Ice Skating
2Sam and Lizzy had a blast ice skating at the Abbey today.
Very nice of The Abbey to offer ice skating and usage of skates for free.
Turkey Day Recap
1It was a very nice Thanksgiving this year. Family from Indiana (Dad, Levi, Logan, Roseanne) came up to visit, Jen’s family (Dad, Julie, Cassidy) were in attendance. Jen and myself were obviously there. Dinner was hosted at Mom’s house as is becoming tradition now.
After we all enjoyed the lovely meal prepared by Jen and Mom, we played with the kids, watched some football and enjoyed each other’s company.
Here are some photos from the weekend… Lizzy in her turkey hat, Sam and Lizzy posing for a picture and the next four pictures are Levi and Logan riding the mopeds around the yard. I especially like Logan’s choice of scooters. :-)

Sleppy Sam
1Chilling out on the couch with Sam. He fell asleep. Poor little guy is so tired out from being sick.
Sam vs H1N1
5I guess it was inevitable… Sam is also sick now. The pediatrician put him on the H1N1 meds on Friday.
Sam is doing as well as could be expected, high fever, stomach issues, overall soreness…
Keep your fingers crossed and prayers coming, that he also beats this thing quickly… Soon enough, he’ll be back to normal…
Update 11/21/2009:
Sam is pretty much over H1N1 now. He has a cough that is still hanging around, but the fever and other symptoms are gone. He’s back to his regular self again. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and words…
Lizzy vs H1N1
6If you read the previous post about Lizzy being sick, I said she had a viral throat infection. That was, until, her fever went up to 104 degrees and the other H1N1 (swine flu) symptoms kicked in.
She had just been to the doctor on Tuesday morning where they ruled out H1N1 because of the lack of symptoms. A couple hours later, she was textbook H1N1, according to the pediatrician. They prescribed Tamiflu to fight the virus and we’re keeping up the Motrin and/or Tylenol for the fever.
When Lizzy get’s sick, she wants to be held and is very snugly. While it’s nice to snuggle with your little girl, I wish it was under different circumstances.
Keep your fingers crossed and prayers coming, that she beats this thing quickly…
Soon enough, she’ll be back to normal…
Update:
November 14, 2009 – Lizzy still has a high fever and cough. Fever seems to basically go away in the morning, but comes back later in the day. Rest of the symptoms are pretty much gone, all that lasts is the fever and cough… This is 4 days straight of high fevers, so hopefully it’s almost through… Thanks for all the kind words…
